Kel-Li Chen has been named the 2026 recipient of the K&L Gates Prize! This spring, Chen graduated with a double major in psychology and biological sciences, along with an additional major in human-computer interaction. Dietrich College welcomes Cassidy Sugimoto, who will join Carnegie Mellon University as Bess Family Dean, effective July 1! Sugimoto is a globally recognized scholar whose work lies at the intersection of information science and science policy.
She will succeed Richard Scheines, who has led the college since 2014.
