🚨URGENT UPDATE

Pittsburgh Classical 6-8 Air Conditioning Restored:

Repairs to the air conditioning system at Pittsburgh Classical 6-8 have been completed, allowing students and staff to safely return to the building. Students will return to in-person teaching and learning Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Pittsburgh Minadeo Air Conditioning Issues:

Issues with the chillers at Pittsburgh Minadeo are impacting the school’s air conditioning system. As a result, Pittsburgh Minadeo will transition to synchronous remote teaching and learning Wednesday, September 2, 2026

🚨 IMPORTANT EXTREME HEAT UPDATE 🚨

Pittsburgh Faison has been removed from the list of schools shifting to synchronous remote learning.

Pittsburgh Faison will resume in-person learning tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2.

The schools listed on the graphic will remain on synchronous remote learning through Thursday, September 3, 2026.

🚨Pittsburgh Classical Academy Update

Due to issues with the school’s air conditioning system, Pittsburgh Classical 6-8 will transition to synchronous remote learning tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1.

Students should follow the remote learning schedule and instructions provided by the school.

At this time, this change applies to Tuesday only. We will provide families with an update regarding Wednesday and Thursday as additional information about the status of the air conditioning repairs becomes available.

Due to forecasted extreme heat, 35 Pittsburgh Public Schools buildings will shift to synchronous remote learning Tuesday, September 1 through Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Students attending the schools listed in the graphic should log in and participate in classes remotely following their regular school-day schedule.

What an awesome first week of preschool! 🎨 ✂

Our preschool classroom at Northview Heights was full of big smiles, curious eyes, and busy hands as new and returning students settled into their school routines this week. Teachers focused their attention on small group time, giving every child the hands-on support they needed to master essential fine motor skills. Watching them build their confidence and learning to socialize with their peers and practice teamwork and sharing has been incredible to watch. We are so proud of our little scholars!💓
