I had such a nice time at the Dietrich Ball last night! I felt so touched to be invited as an “honored guest.” All of the students looked so great! Thank you, everyone!

Blind Date with a Book is happening! Come to the CUC Wean Commons between 1-4 pm and get your book for only $5!

Here’s a teaser for next week’s Blind Date with a Book fundraiser benefiting our chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society. Members wrapped books today in preparation. We hope to have around 50 books to sell. So mark your calendar!

For just $5, you can purchase a pre-wrapped, gently-loved book, but we’ll only give you a hint about the book’s contents. It’s a mystery - a blind date, if you will - until you open it!

Each pre-wrapped book comes with:

• a bookmark
•a book-related sticker
•a tea bag or hot cocoa packet

We can’t wait to help match you with the book of your dreams!

As the chapter advisor for the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society at CMU, I felt such joy installing these six incredible students as our new 2025-2026 Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society Executive Board on Tuesday!

Each new board member is holding a book I gifted to them entitled The Student Leadership Challenge: Five Practices for Becoming an Exemplary Leader by James Kouzes and Barry Posner.
