Here’s a teaser for next week’s Blind Date with a Book fundraiser benefiting our chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society. Members wrapped books today in preparation. We hope to have around 50 books to sell. So mark your calendar!

For just $5, you can purchase a pre-wrapped, gently-loved book, but we’ll only give you a hint about the book’s contents. It’s a mystery - a blind date, if you will - until you open it!

Each pre-wrapped book comes with:

• a bookmark
•a book-related sticker
•a tea bag or hot cocoa packet

We can’t wait to help match you with the book of your dreams!

🕚Time: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. EDT

📍Location: We’ll be tabling in Wean Commons in the Cohon University Center (right by the Connan Room on the main level, around the corner from the Info Desk)

As the chapter advisor for the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society at CMU, I felt such joy installing these six incredible students as our new 2025-2026 Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society Executive Board on Tuesday!

From L to R: Kaya Kozlowski (Treasurer), Allison Blair (Historian), Ellie Lee (Secretary), Jackie Kim (Public Relations Officer), Kat Bell (Vice President), and Sienna Lehner (President). Each new board member is holding a book I gifted to them entitled The Student Leadership Challenge: Five Practices for Becoming an Exemplary Leader by James Kouzes and Barry Posner.
