Five days on the salon floor, wrapped. 🎧 Music up, chairs going, someone's first solo blowout at station four while an instructor watched from ten feet away. That is what a week of beauty school actually looks like, not a brochure photo. We run Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 4:30. Every service is performed by a supervised student and checked by a licensed instructor. Cuts, color, blowouts, manicures, facials. 95%. That is how many students who start at South Hills & North Hills Beauty Academy actually finish. The industry average sits closer to 60%, and the largest national chain in our market is around 50%. We do not have a trick. We have small classes at 8 students per instructor, instructors who know your name in week one, and 57 years of getting people across the stage. Why Color Wow, and why now. Most product lines sell you a bottle. Color Wow banned more than 70 ingredients that dull, distort, or brass out color-treated hair, then built the range around what was left. For a student that is not a marketing story, it is a lesson: know what is in the bottle before you put it on a client's head. Our instructors trained on the full range this summer. Big news. South Hills & North Hills Beauty Academy is now a Color Wow school. 🎉 Our instructors completed the training this summer, and every student who comes through our doors will learn on the line professional stylists call "the Pro's Secret Weapon." Color Wow built their entire range without the ingredients that dull or distort color-treated hair. More than 70 of them, banned. Dream Coat, Money Laundering, Root Cover Up, Style on Steroids: our students will know all of it, how to use it behind the chair, and how to recommend it to a client. This week Pittsburgh's dorms fill up. Moving boxes on Forbes Ave, parents double-parked, everybody starting a four-year clock. Here is the other path: at South Hills & North Hills Beauty Academy you can start September 14 and be license-eligible in nine months. Tuition is $21,675 total, and that includes your books, kit, uniforms, and supplies. No surprise semester fees. 95% of the students who start with us finish.
