LIFE Pittsburgh is hiring a Full Time On-Call RN. With responsibility of the care of our Participants 24 Hours, 7 days a week, we are currently searching for a Full Time, Exempt Registered Nurse to work on-call and will be responsible for the telephonic assessment and in person assessment as needed. Responsible for on-call phone calls and communication that occurs involving Participant care through our on-call system. Be able to utilize clinical knowledge and critical thinking to determine best course of action when receiving on-call phone calls. Ensure high quality care and communication is delivered at all times. Provide direct care to the patients. Including administering treatments and medications. Assist in development, follow and coordinate each Participant comprehensive assessment and plan of care. Generally provides triage. Notify physician, when necessary, of changes in the patients condition, weight, medication errors, medication management issues, abnormal laboratory/x-ray results and any other unusual observation. Complete all necessary documentation according to regulations and LIFE Pittsburgh’s policies/procedures. Must have Current PA RN license in good standing, minimum of one year of med/surg; home health or hospice nursing experience. Must be self-directed with excellent observational ability and effective communication skills and have the ability to provide quality written documentation in a timely manner. Also required is a valid Drivers License, access to a vehicle with current auto insurance.

The Education Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s education needs in collaboration with the Training/Education Manager and Management Team of LIFE Pittsburgh as defined by CMS and Department of Public Welfare regulations.
-Responsible for education related compliance for all regulatory body reviews to include local, state and federal constituencies.
-Will implement effective methods to educate, enhance and improve clinical performance.
-Maintenance of education and training records to be consistent with regulations as necessary for on-sight reviews. -Assist with staff development and will respond to identified education needs for clinical and nonclinical staff. Will also provide education programs to respond to areas of deficiencies or in need of improvement.
-RN and BA required (BSN preferred).
-Driver’s License, access to vehicle and 3-5 years education/training experience in a health care environment also required.
