Excited to announce that on Friday, November 19th at 1:30 pm we will be having the group's Kick-off event. At this meeting, we will introduce ourselves, talk a little bit about the purpose of the group, why it was created, some resources that exist at CCAC for students with children, and hopefully get a little more feedback on the things you guys are all hoping to get out of this group.

The Alpha Pi Theta 2017-2018 Honors in Action Project is called "Beauty and Vulgarity: The Social Construction and Distortion of Beauty."
Our students are currently collecting original art, photography, poetry and other literature focusing on body image, the impact of social media and how our filtered and curated images of self are presented to the world. On December 8, our members will present their research findings at an art exhibition featuring this original art and have a panel discussion and reception with the artists.
Participation in the discussion is encouraged but not required with submissions.
We would love for your chapter to participate in this project! We kindly ask that you take a moment to share the flyer sent by Messenger with your members and we hope that you will join us on December 8. Invitations and more information will follow.
