🤭 If your coach only teaches you how to pull guard, that’s adorable…

🥷🏼 But let’s be real, that won’t take you far when gravity gets involved. At Indio Dojo, we stand up, we throw, and we dominate.

🥋 Judo and BJJ working together, the way it should. Step in and learn how to control the whole game.
Judo meets BJJ full game, no shortcuts.

🫣 Thinking about starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but feeling nervous?

You’re not alone.

One of the biggest misconceptions people have is that everyone on the mat is tough, intimidating, and already knows what they’re doing. The truth is, every black belt, every competitor, and every coach started exactly where you are today.

At Indio Dojo, we’ve built a friendly, family-oriented community where beginners are welcomed, supported, and encouraged from day one. No egos. No pressure. Just good people helping each other get better.

So if your husband has been talking about trying Jiu-Jitsu but keeps saying, “Maybe next month,” send him this post. The hardest part is walking through the door the first time.

After that, we’ll take care of the rest.

Come meet the team, learn something new, get in shape, and become part of a great community.

Tag someone who’s been saying they want to start training. 👊

🔥 AUGUST 1ST IS COMING 🔥

While most people are relaxing, Coach Mikey is putting in the work to make sure our fighters are ready when the cage door closes.

Every round, every drill, every session has a purpose. The goal isn’t just to compete. The goal is to perform at our best when it matters most.

247 Fighting Championships is right around the corner, and our team is sharpening every weapon. From striking and conditioning to mindset and preparation, Coach Mikey is helping our athletes leave no stone unturned.

Come watch the work being done behind the scenes and support the team as we get ready for another big night.

August 1st. We’re ready. 👊🔥

🏹 IBJJF Revenge Tour 🥇🥇🥇🥇

After a year away from IBJJF competition due to a earlier purple belt promotion, he was required to sit out under IBJJF regulations, Andy is now officially back.

This weekend, he didn’t just return. He made a statement.

Four divisions. Four gold medals.

A year of waiting. A year of training. A year of staying ready.

When the opportunity finally came, Andy unleashed himself and reminded everyone exactly who he is.

We’re proud to welcome him back to the competition mats and even prouder to have him representing Pittsburgh and the Indio Dojo team at the highest level.

Hard work pays off. Patience pays off. Champions always find a way.

Congratulations, Andy. Pittsburgh is getting four gold medals this weekend. 🏆🏆🏆🏆

🔫 👀 🔪 Jiu-Jitsu is powerful, but not always enough. In real self-defense situations, weapons like knives or guns can appear. Training gun retention and knife defense is a must. Stay sharp, stay safe, stay ready.

🙏🏽😁 Uncle Jeff is Back!

A few months ago, being back on the mats wasn’t guaranteed.

Life has a way of throwing challenges at all of us. Injuries, health issues, setbacks, and obstacles that test our patience and determination.

But Uncle Jeff refused to quit.

Today, he’s back where he belongs, training, learning, and inspiring everyone around him.

His journey is a reminder that progress isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up, taking one step at a time, and never giving up on yourself.

Watch this video and let it be a reminder that it’s never too late to come back, start over, or keep moving forward.

Get motivated. Get healthy. Get back on the mats.

😉👉🏼Be like Uncle Jeff. Be a Bad Ass…
