They're calling it the "wallflower" effect. GSPIA Assistant Professor Sera Linardi, along with co-author Daniel Jones, examined public recognition for altruism and how it resonates with people, especially women. The paper has been included in the Harvard Kennedy School's Gender Action Portal.
