Congratulations to Duquesne SLP alumna Michelle Catão on the publication of her master's thesis in AJSLP! Friends is hosting a one-day event at the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 17th from 9:00am-4:00pm.

"The Friends One-Day Event is a wonderful opportunity for kids, families, SLPs, and adults who stutter to come together and learn more about stuttering, supporting each other, and
building community. Children’s programming is activity-based and
focuses on exploring attitudes and emotions, increasing understanding of stuttering, and instilling a greater sense of confidence —while making Friends! SLPs and students will learn more about stuttering, current therapies, and the support
available for those who stutter."

We are thrilled to celebrate Natalie Rees, first-year professional phase SLP student, on her selection for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s highly competitive Research Mentoring-Pair Travel Award (RMPTA)!

With this award, Natalie and her mentor, Dr. Abby Delehanty, will attend and participate in ASHA’s 2026 Research Symposium in Indianapolis this November. This recognition reflects Natalie’s promise as an emerging researcher and her commitment to advancing the field of SLP. Please join us in congratulating Natalie on this exciting accomplishment!
