One of our favorite parts of the day is watching children slow down, ask questions, and discover something new.

Whether it’s looking through a microscope, creating art, or exploring the world around them, hands-on learning helps kids build confidence and a love for discovery that can last a lifetime.

Sometimes learning happens through wonder. 🚑

We love giving children in our program the chance to explore an ambulance, meet local paramedics, and ask questions about how helpers in our community care for people in emergencies.

Moments like these help kids build confidence, curiosity, and connection with the people who serve our neighborhood every day. 💚

Each day, staff members walk children safely to and from school together as a group on the Walking School Bus. Along the way, kids build friendships, practice safety, and start and end the school day feeling connected and supported.

For many families, it’s more than just a walk to school. It’s one more way our community comes together to care for kids. 🌱

We love creating space for kids to explore the world around them with curiosity and joy.

At Brookline Sprouts, preschoolers learn through hands-on experiences that keep children engaged and growing. Our program uses Frog Street, a state-approved curriculum built around PA Early Learning Standards and Conscious Discipline principles.

That means children spend their days building early literacy, early math, social-emotional skills, and kindergarten readiness through stories, movement, play, and teacher-guided activities.

We also assess progress at regular intervals so teachers can support each child across developmental areas. If you want a preschool experience that is structured, warm, and purposeful, we would love to tell you more.

Through our After School Program, we can teach the kids about different careers like being New Reporters, EMT/Nurses, hairdressers and more.

The school-aged kids seemed to really like this decoding activity today! After this, they did some word puzzles, then used magnetic words and a white-board to talk about what scares them/makes them yell, before some very sweet free play with dolls and lego pieces. I'm so grateful for our little community, as always! 💙
