Start the school year strong with Manchester Academic Charter School! Everyone is invited to our Back 2 School Bash on Thursday, August 20th, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at 1214 Liverpool Street, Pgh, PA 15233.

Bring your children for a bouncy house, face painting, snacks, and a live DJ! We'll have uniform giveaways, a Meet-n- Greet with all grade level staff and PTO leaders, with barbers and braiders on-site.

The MACS Track & Field team had an outstanding showing at the SWCAC–SWPAA Track & Field Championships, with student-athletes demonstrating determination, teamwork, and school pride throughout the competition. The championship meet was a great success, as our athletes brought home several top awards and strong finishes across multiple events. We are especially proud of our 1st place champions, Ja’Mar Steele in High Jump and Skylar Neal in Shot Put. Congratulations to all of our MACS Track & Field athletes and coaches on an incredible championship meet and successful season. Your commitment and sportsmanship made MACS proud!

🎓Celebrating Dr. Phylissa Thomas!

Please join us in celebrating our very own Director of Curriculum, Dr. Phylissa Thomas, who received her Doctor of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh on April 30, 2025. Her dissertation, Reimagining Family Engagement in Urban Schools, centers an original theoretical framework, the Dignity-Identity-Shame (DIS) Framework for Caregiver Engagement, offering a powerful new lens for how schools can build authentic, equitable partnerships with families. Dr. Thomas will formally defend her dissertation in late May. Her work reflects the deep commitment to students, families, and educational excellence she brings to our school community every day.

We are incredibly proud to have her leading curriculum and instruction here.

Congratulations, Dr. Thomas. This achievement is well earned!
