In 2013, we started a campaign called I Am A Sorority Woman, encouraging members of all sororities, not just Panhellenic ones, to showcase the ways in which they defy the stereotypes of what it means to be a sorority woman. This seeks to connect sororities and their members under one common goal, regardless of our letters.

Sorority women across the globe are standing out as changemakers and are doing so more publicly than ever before. However, we know that there are some sororities that have been committed to these important issues for quite some time now, and we are committed to sharing their members’ voices and perspectives.

While many of us are participating in these conversations and social change, we also need to pause and listen to those who have been working toward a more just and equitable society for many years. Check out the DG blog today to see how you can participate in this year! https://www.deltagamma.org/blog/i-am-a-sorority-woman

August 2020 has been designated as National Women's Suffrage Month in an effort to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the 19th Amendment*. The Women's suffrage Centennial Commission has a month full of education and celebration. NPC will also be posting information and celebrating this landmark occasion. Stay tuned throughout August for more information!

*NPC recognizes the 19th Amendment didn’t expand the right to vote to all women, but as women’s-only organizations we want to highlight the role our members played in the amendment’s passage and acknowledge it was a significant first step for all our members.
