On Saturday, the Senior Scholars participated in a ludonarrative decision-making exercise hosted by Mr. Todd Rooney of our English department. The event, based on the popular table-top role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons, presented the students with complex moral and ethical challenges through which they navigated their fictional characters. Following the gaming portion of the event, the scholars then discussed the reasons behind their characters’ choices, thereby opening a dialogue about bias, violence, and duty.
