Before she takes the stage at Commencement this Saturday, it’s worth taking a moment to consider the kind of impact Sister Sheila has made. From founding the Carlow Roundtable to building initiatives that connect campus and community, her work has shaped how Carlow lives its mission every day.

As she prepares to serve as this year’s keynote speaker and receive an honorary doctorate, we’re reflecting on everything she’s meant to this community.

Carlow’s largest graduating class will celebrate Commencement on May 9 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

A beautiful spring day for our associate meeting. Sister Bonnie Heh shared her story of becoming a Sister of Mercy. We reflected together during this Lenten season on how we are called to carry our cross to serve God and others.

Associate Darcy Osby will be walking on The Coldest Night of the Year to raise funds for Pittsburgh Mercy’s Bethlehem Haven shelter which provides a women’s shelter as well as a medical respite center for individuals to recover after being discharged from the hospital.
