Strong Women Strong Girls Carnegie Mellon We are a national mentoring organization committed to empowering girls and helping them to become Strong Women!

Strong Women, Strong Girls (SWSG) is an after school program for girls in grades third through fifth grade. Undergraduate and graduate level college students act as mentors, going to their designated site each week and working with the young girls on a different lesson that focuses on a strong woman and a life skill that she embodies. The curriculum cultivates confidence and life skills for the mentors and the girls, generating cycles of community engagement and creating communities of women.
