Dear Young Brothers family,
It is with great sadness that we post this news. Last week, our TKD family lost a beloved member in the passing of Master Ron Cohen.
For those of you that knew him, and maybe had the honor of training with him, you are aware that his love of Tae Kwon Do is (and will be) unmatched amongst all students.
Whether you were related by blood or by belt, we were all related in the love and respect we have for one another and most importantly Grand Master Kong...the two having shared the student/teacher relationship for close to 35 years. Collectively, we are all mourning the loss of a tremendous human, a loving friend, and a fellow member of this organization.
If you have any special moments, memories, or notes of inspiration that you’ve gained from your time with him, we ask that you share them—both for our safekeeping and for those that will continue to miss him at each testing, Black Belt class, and tournament that comes and goes. We won’t have the ability to thank him in person or to step in for the quick hug before or after class, but with these shared memories, perhaps we can make each lost moment that much easier to get through.

Each indiviual school conducted their own tests for triple black stripes hoping to advance to 1st degree black belt (Cho dan) as well as 2nd through 4th degree last weekend.
This Saturday was the culmination of black belt testing in front of Kwan Jang Nim Young Bo Kong and included all 5th, 6th and 7th degrees as well as those hoping to advance to their respective next level.
This is a demo of our Kwan Jang Nim's accuracy and precision, it's phenomenal.
It is an honor to be testing with so many amazing black belts and to study under Kwan Jang Nim.
