Kentucky Avenue School is a small, vibrant independent school located in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood. Kentucky Avenue School serves diverse students from kindergarten through eighth grade. We offer small classes, a child-friendly environment, skilled teaching, and a challenging curriculum conveyed through both traditional and innovative methods. Kentucky Avenue School offers "Club KAS", our after school programming available to students.

As our 25-26 school year comes to a close, our annual field day arrives! We had tug of war, relay races, tag, dodgeball, parachutes, and chickens 🐓.? You never know what to expect at KAS, but we always have a blast.

Our Exhibition of Learning was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came to this event! Our Exhibition of Learning showcased some of the many projects students worked on throughout the year and gave them the opportunity to demonstrate what they learned through each artifact they presented (to families, friends, teachers, and people of our community!). A special shoutout to for stopping by!!
