Mahalo ✨
Day 2 Recap: Thank You for Another Incredible Day!
Mahalo to everyone for making Day 2 of the 2024 CPED Convening in Hawai’i an unforgettable experience! From insightful sessions to meaningful connections among colleagues, it was a day full of energy and collaboration.
A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Dr. Heather Shotton (Wichita/Kiowa/Cheyenne), for her inspiring talk on reframing doctoral education through an Indigenous lens. Her insights into the history and impact of settler education and her challenge to reclaim academic spaces for Indigenous learning have given us much to consider.
We’d also like to express our gratitude to the University of Hawai’i team for creating a menu full of amazing and plentiful food, keeping us well-nourished throughout the day.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the exciting field trips and more opportunities to learn, connect, and grow together!
