Our annual “Coffee on the Grounds” is a simple, first day of school tradition that brings our community together. Sharing a cup of coffee or lemonade, welcoming new families, reconnecting with familiar faces, and taking a little time to simply be together. We’re so grateful for these moments of connection and for the relationships that make our school community so special. Here’s to a wonderful year of learning, growing, and creating community together.

Waldorf: more than just salad 😉 More than just watercolor painting. More than just knitting. More than just outdoor play.
It’s imagination, curiosity, creativity, and learning through the whole child. And yes…there may be salad involved. 🥬

Meet Mark! Our Facilities Manager who keeps WSP humming!
Mark is an early bird, 5am is pretty standard. He appreciates good coffee, black, unless oat milk is calling. Fall is his favorite season, and loves spending time making things with his hands, from willow baskets to soapstone carvings. A perfect Saturday starts with morning yoga or a workout, followed by breakfast with his family. He’s equally happy with a sweet or salty snack, hiking the trails of PA, vacationing in the Alps, or where his soul truly thrives, on the beach.
His favorite WSP tradition is the Rising Ceremony, a beautiful and spiritually powerful experience. Mark feels especially grateful to be a steward of our historic building. But perhaps his favorite part of the job is the simplest: sitting on the red steps at dismissal, talking with the children and seeing their smiling faces at the end of the school day.

For generations, this historic building has been part of the story of our East End communities. We are grateful to continue it’s legacy as a place where children learn, grow, and are nurtured and we hope to serve families here for many years to come.

Meet Belle, our Front Office & Family Communication Manager!
Belle is one of the friendly faces you’ll find greeting students, families, and visitors each day. Her favorite part of working at WSP is getting to experience the vibrant student life around campus, and spending time with Pebbles, our beloved turtle mascot, Nurse Cheryl, and the many young visitors who stop by the front office daily.
Belle describes her role as supporting students, families, teachers, and the administrative team through the daily rhythm of school life and the changing seasons. Outside of the office, she’s more likely to curl up with a good book than watch a movie, prefers podcasts over music, and has a hidden talent: making an exceptional cappuccino! ☕️

Meet Mark, our Director of Business Operations! AKA, Mr. Mark.
While many are enjoying summer break, Mark is hard at work helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
When he’s not balancing budgets, you’ll likely find him exploring the great outdoors, especially anywhere in Colorado. His desk essential? A water bottle. Staying hydrated is serious business!
Mark says one of his favorite things about working at WSP is no two days are ever the same. Every day brings new opportunities to solve problems, collaborate with colleagues, and be part of a community that’s as inspiring as it is dynamic.
We’re grateful for all he does to support our school, one spreadsheet, and one sip of water at a time!
