One of the highlights of the New York State Fair is the Syracuse Wurlitzer Museum in the Art & Home Center, featuring artifacts from various Syracuse movie theaters of the past. (The rescued pipe organ is installed in the Art & Home Center's theater as well.) And greeting visitors each year is Mr. Keith, wearing his full and complete RKO doorman's uniform! Mr. Keith was a fixture at the in-home museum of former THS Director Jim Foley, whose family entrusted him to Karen Noonan's care after Jim's passing. Karen knew the only real home for Mr. Keith was in ESTMIM's collection, where Mr. Keith would be surrounded by items from his past. Mr. Keith holds the original megaphone used to announce acts and a vintage 1920 opening night program! (Then known as B.F. Keith's New Theater) If you're in the vicinity, please stop in and say hi to Mr. Keith and admire the collection!
