This month's Investing Now Workshop was all about mental wellness! Our scholars received a presentation on managing stress with the Pitt Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health, then got to unwind with a guided meditation led by the Stress-Free Zone. They also built their own personal self-care toolkits, walking away with practical tools to protect their peace and prioritize their mental health.

In partnership with Center For Arts & Media, scholars explored the art of metalworking. Scholars learned to use a range of metalsmithing tools, heat-based processes, and safety protocols to make jewelry and keychains.

This program is designed to support youth and young people with experience in foster care, housing instability, or other life challenges as they navigate their path to college and beyond.
Through the program, students can receive support with college and financial aid applications, access tutoring and academic resources, explore future career paths, and build a strong, supportive community.
