We're hiring at Pittsburgh Music House!

As our community continues to grow, we're looking for part-time private music teachers to join our team. We are currently seeking educators who teach:

Piano
Brass (strong trumpet skills required)
Percussion (including drum set)

We’re looking for warm, creative, dependable educators who are excited to work with students of all ages, experience levels, and learning styles. Our approach is joyful and student-centered, with an emphasis on adapting instruction to the individual student and incorporating creativity, improvisation, composition, and student interests into lessons.

Pay: $40/teaching hour, with additional paid lesson planning and administrative opportunities available.

Current teaching availability includes weekdays after 3:00pm.

Music and Music Education students are encouraged to apply! Teaching experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. We provide mentorship and on-the-job training for educators who are excited to grow with us.

Whether your child is a complete beginner, needs extra support with band or orchestra music, or has been learning independently and is ready for private lessons, now is the perfect time to reserve an after-school lesson before the school-year rush.

We offer private lessons in:
• Piano
• Voice
• Guitar
• Drums
• Strings (violin, viola, cello)
• Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone)
• Brass (trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba)

Private lessons are available for students ages 5 and up. Every new student begins with a free trial lesson so you can make sure the studio and teacher are the right fit before enrolling.

We've loved welcoming students into our new space on Babcock Boulevard, and we're SO excited to share a quick walkthrough and before-and-after transformation!

We'll continue sharing more detailed photos and videos as we settle in. BUT, the best way to experience our space is to come and see it for yourself ✨

We had a fantastic first day back from summer break in our brand-new studio space yesterday!

For the next few weeks, we'll be sharing just a few sneak peeks so our current families can experience the excitement of seeing the new space in person for the first time. We'll share a full studio walkthrough by the end of the month, and we can't wait for everyone to explore it!

Summer music starts July 7th at our new location (3371 Babcock Boulevard)!

We're excited to welcome families into our brand-new space with two great options for musicians ages 16 months to 6 years old.

🎵 Option 1 (Mixed-Age Group Classes)
After free trial...
Drop in for $22.50/class
Attend the same class each week for $85/month
Purchase a 10-class pass for $200

Schedule:
Mondays from 4:00 - 4:30pm
Tuesdays from 6:00 - 6:30pm
Wednesdays from 6:00 - 6:30pm
Thursdays from 9:30 - 10:00am

🎵 Option 2 (Music Foundations - Summer Session)
$150 for the entire 6-week session

Schedule:
Classes meet every Saturday from July 11 - August 15.
Music Sprouts (16 months - 2.5 years): 9:00 - 9:45am
Music Explorers (2.5 - 4 years): 10:00 - 10:45am (two spots left!)
Music Makers: Leaders and Learners (4 - 6 years): 11:00 - 11:45am (one spot left!)

✨ Add a sibling in the same class: 50% discount on second child (applies to sessions and mixed-age group classes).

Happy 4th Birthday, Pittsburgh Music House! 🎉

We're celebrating this milestone by officially moving into our new home.

While we'll always cherish the memories made at our Cemetery Lane location, we're thrilled to begin this next chapter with more space and parking for our growing music community.

Our grand reopening is currently slated for July 7th, and we can't wait to welcome you in. Stay tuned for sneak peeks, updates, and behind-the-scenes looks at our new space!

🎹 Welcome to the inaugural Pittsburgh Music House Piano Showcase!

This special performance, held at Fort Pitt Piano Company in Pittsburgh's Strip District, features a select group of some of our most dedicated piano students. As part of the experience, students had the opportunity to perform on Fort Pitt's Steinway Model D concert grand piano, an instrument found on some of the world's most prestigious stages.

Our featured pianists have demonstrated not only strong musical ability, but also exceptional consistency, focus, and commitment in their practice at home.

In this video, you'll hear a 10-second highlight from each performer (an entire recital experience in just 90 seconds).

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, perseverance, and musicianship these students have shown throughout the year. Enjoy the showcase! ✨

Jorbi had a big day at McKnight Village’s Run for the Rec! 🐾🏃‍♂️

As proud event sponsors, we loved supporting this wonderful community event and seeing so many familiar faces along the course. We love having opportunities to connect with our community outside the studio💛

Jorbi completed the 5K in 21:10, placing 5th overall and 1st among the dogs. He is now accepting congratulations and extra treats!! .does.it.all
