Meet Adelaide! ✨
Addie is a 1st-year OTD student from Pittsburgh who’s passionate about connection, confidence, and helping others get back to the activities that make them who they are. When she’s not in class, you can find her walking or grabbing coffee with friends and family. ☕️

Hands on learning at its best 🙌🏻 🎨
Dr. Huth took the 1st year students to the Children’s Museum today to explore the interactive exhibits. This experience provided valuable insight for how these different environments can support development and creativity for people of all ages!
Thank you for a great day 💜

This past weekend, some of our students participated in the annual Out of the Darkness Walk with the University of Pittsburgh to raise awareness for mental health. Each year this walk honors loved ones and supports anyone who may be struggling. It’s a reminder that no one is alone and that hope, connection, and conversation matter.
So proud of our students for walking with a purpose and raising awareness for something bigger 💜

Feature Friday: Meet Sarah 💜
This week we’re highlighting one of our first year OTD students. She is already building a strong foundation and embracing the hands on experiences that shape future occupational therapists. She’s most interested in inpatient pediatrics!
When she’s not in class you can find her hiking or down at the local coffee shop! We’re excited to watch her continue to grow and make an impact as a future OT 🎨

Huge milestone for our OT program! 🙌
We’ve been steadily climbing the national rankings; now sitting in the top 20% of programs across the country.
We’re also proud to be ranked #5 out of 21 OT programs in Pennsylvania!
This progress reflects the dedication of our students, faculty, and entire community. The momentum is real so let’s keep it going!

Feature Friday: Dr. Gett 💜
Dr. Gett is passionate about supporting students through those “lightbulb moments” when everything starts to click. She loves helping future OTs build confidence in their clinical reasoning and apply what they’ve learned to real-world practice.
One piece of advice she carries with her is to always keep growing! If you feel stuck, seek out new opportunities, continue learning, and stay connected to the profession.
We’re so grateful for the knowledge, guidance, and support she brings to our program! 👩🏻🏫

Today, our first-year occupational therapy students had the valuable opportunity to participate in a spinal cord injury panel, engaging in meaningful conversations with individuals living with spinal cord injuries. Through open conversation, students gained deeper insight into the lived experiences and lifestyle adaptations of those navigating life after injury. Experiences like these reinforce the importance of client-centered care, empathy, and understanding the real-world impact of rehabilitation beyond the clinical setting! 🩵
