For the month of April our children are learning about farm animals, so Mrs. Bailey brought in one of her chickens for us to meet. We learned about the food she eats, the eggs she lays & even the sound she makes when she lays an egg. Some of us were even brave enough to pet her soft, silky feathers. For the more cautious, Mrs. Bailey shared her Chicken Album, with pictures from peeps to full grown hens & their lovely green & brown eggs!
