American Heart Association ACLS skills sessions are scheduled in December on the following dates:

Tuesday 12/5 at 10am
Monday 12/18 at 10am
Saturday 12/30 at 12pm

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS), emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The hands-on instruction and simulated cases in this advanced course are designed to help enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.

What to Do in a Heart Attack Emergency - HSI Immediate treatment during a heart attack can increase the chances of survival. Here’s how to recognize signs of a heart attack and how to respond.

According to a study published in Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, 45% of men received bystander CPR compared to only 39% of women. Overall, men had 23% higher odds of survival than women.

We've recently added the Prestan Products manikin breast attachment to our training in hopes to familiarize students with performing chest compressions on women.

It's time to do our part in educating so that we can bridge that 23% CPR survival gap for women!
