BROWN AVENUE CLOSURE

Starting Tuesday, March 24th at 8:00 AM, Brown Avenue in Turtle Creek will close between Mortimer Avenue and Ivy Street. The closure is expected to last until Friday, March 27th. Buses are not going to be able to access any stops in between that section including the stop at Mortimer Avenue.

The stop at Brown Avenue and Mortimer Avenue will be temporarily relocated to Brown Avenue and Union Street from Tuesday, March 24 through Friday, March 27. On the opposite side of the closure buses will be asked to turn around at Brown Avenue and Washington Street.

Please expect delays until the end of the week as many buses will be forced to take alternate routes. Always remember to use caution in and around construction zones.

03/17/2026

Due to poor road conditions in the area and power outages throughout the district, including two schools, central office, and many street lights down, the Woodland Hills School District will be operating on an asynchronous remote learning day for Tuesday, March 17.

Learning activities will occur asynchronously and student work will be posted online in their Google Classrooms.

Tuesday's afternoon activities will proceed as scheduled. Please look for correspondence from your coach or director for more information on each activity.

Thank you,

Dear Woodland Hills High School Families,

Out of an abundance of caution, we are delaying dismissal at Woodland Hills High School due to a Tornado Warning issued by the National Weather Service. The Warning is currently in effect until 2:30 p.m. and students will be released when it expires.

Please stay alert for further updates as we monitor this weather situation. We will communicate any changes as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your understanding. Please travel safely.

Due to the road closure at Bell & Verona, all buses will pick up at Braddock and Verona instead. Please send your students to Braddock and Verona (at the bottom of the hill).

Good Afternoon Wolverine Families,

We hope that you are all safe, warm, and dry during this incredibly challenging week. Because the real temperatures aren't supposed to get out of the single digits before lunchtime for the rest of the week, and the wind chills remain forecast well below zero at times, we have made the difficult decision that the Woodland Hills School District will be operating on Remote Learning Days for the remainder of this week, including Wednesday, January 28th, Thursday, January 29th, and Friday, January 30th.

Learning activities will occur asynchronously and student work will be posted in their Google Classrooms. Afternoon activities will proceed as scheduled, unless families and students are notified otherwise by the appropriate department. Please look for correspondence from your coach or director for more information on each activity.

Thank you,

Good afternoon Wolverine Families,

We sincerely hope that you are all safe and warm as we weather this snowstorm together. Given the current accumulation of snow, we are canceling all after school activities for tomorrow - Monday, January 26th.

With the forecast of extremely frigid temperatures on Tuesday morning, the Woodland Hills School District will also be operating on a remote learning day for Tuesday, January 27th. Learning activities will occur asynchronously. Student work will be posted online in their Google Classrooms.

No decision has been made regarding Tuesday's afternoon activities at this time.

To reiterate - Monday and Tuesday are remote learning days for Woodland Hills students. Monday's extracurricular activities have been canceled. Please continue to stay safe and warm.

Thank you,
