🎶👏 Congratulations to North Hills Bands director Lucas Beaver on being named a BRAVO! Champions of Music Education Award recipient by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra! Now in his eighth year at North Hills, Mr. Beaver leads both middle and high school ensembles, conducts the NHHS Drama Club spring musical pit orchestra, and serves as President of PMEA District 1. He'll be formally recognized at the symphony’s concert this Friday at Heinz Hall! We are !

Selected through a blind national evaluation, our students will perform as the featured ensemble at the 45th Annual West Virginia University Honors Band Festival — the only high school chosen for this honor. North Hills Wind Ensemble selected to perform at WVU Honors Band Festival Chosen by blind evaluation, the North Hills High School Wind Ensemble is the featured high school band at the 45th Annual West Virginia University Honors Band Festival to be held Friday, Feb. 13.

Congratulations to all of our PMEA District Band students under the direction of retired Director of Bands at Penn State University, Dennis Glocke. And yes, that is PMEA president, Mr. Beaver, welcoming the audience. Great concert!

Congratulations to all of our NH students for participating in the 2026 PMEA District Orchestra Festival!

It was an exciting week of NH band concerts! High School Bands on Tuesday, and all 4-6 grade bands Wednesday and Thursday. Our final concert of the season will be Band-O-Rama on December 22 featuring MS and HS Bands!
