Can you imagine cross the London Bridge on your commute to work? We offer a multitude of opportunities to study abroad in London. Gemma Skidmore participated in one over the summer and had the chance to participate in an internship abroad.
"Coming out of the six weeks I spent interning I surprised myself with how much I learned, even just about Excel. Developing these skills in particular will be very useful in my future internship and beyond in to my career. As this was my first internship, I was also able to generally build on my professionalism, and even more so being with different cultures in an international office setting." Gemma Skidmore, GBI London Accounting Issues

We are back this week with ! This week we are venturing to Madrid, Spain and enjoying these fabulous tapas.
"One of the best things about traveling is trying the traditional foods of the country. Spain has so many unique and delicious dishes to try, but that’s not the only thing I love about eating here. The culture surrounding meals, dining, and drinking are quite different from the US as well." Steph Spirk, IIP Madrid
"My international internship opened my eyes to how much I don’t know, a valuable first step in beginning to be able to learn more. I don’t know if I am able to see all of the new perspectives that my experience has given me, I imagine I will soon find out once I am back at school. What I can say for certain now though is how much I enjoyed my time in Europe this summer. Every day I am reminded of the sheer ridiculousness of me living in Dublin for a summer and traveling over Europe with my friends and classmates. They are memories I will never forget and experiences I will always remember." Kyle McTiernan, IIP Dublin
"Before this program, I didn’t consider myself as somebody who would be too invested in study abroad. However, I enjoyed it so much that I started planning another study abroad trip for next year before this one was even over. Plus3 really was the perfect freshman introduction to study abroad programs." Brandon Sweeny, Plus3 Argentina
"After studying abroad, I have come to realize that there are so many different cultures, people, and places. It is important to keep an open mind when traveling to really gain cultural awareness. Breaking out of your bubble of comfort and looking past what you have always known, allows for understanding of another culture and helps to better understand people." Sydney Ruble, IIP Madrid

Leadership in the Himalayas gives students the opportunity to learn the art of leadership and put those lessons into practice through a 10 day long trek through the Himalayas. The experience is an invaluable one, as students say.
"As for the leadership component, since coming back I have already seen changes to my style in my everyday life. The most prominent way that I see this is just by my mindfulness. Once you study something so intensely so long it makes you analyze things differently. I like to pay attention to how I and people in my life chose to lead each other. I feel much more comfortable adapting and changing my leadership style to each situation and I see great importance to not only be able to perform one style but to be able to reach all seven leadership styles that we have studied." Emma Estabrook, Leadership in the Himalayas
Hear more about GBI London from one of of our alumn Sarah Feinberg this coming Friday at our information session!

I benefited greatly and improved myself a lot due to this internship." Ran Yan, IIP San Fransisco.
