⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THIS WEEK ⚠️

Due to forecasted extreme heat, 35 Pittsburgh Public Schools buildings will shift to synchronous remote learning Tuesday, September 1 through Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Students attending the schools listed in the graphic should log in and participate in classes remotely following their regular school-day schedule.

Please review the full list carefully and stay connected to your school and District communications for any additional updates.

📣 Exciting updates are coming to the Home Access Center (HAC) for the 2026–27 school year!

Beginning August 17, families will have access to HAC and are encouraged to complete their required Back-to-School Forms by the first day of school on August 24.

New this year, families can:

📄 Access report cards from both the current and previous school year—eliminating the need to contact the school for previous-year reports.

🚌 View their child’s transportation details directly in HAC. Initial route sheets and notification letters will be distributed by August 14. Transportation information will also be emailed to families, and robocalls will begin the weekend of August 15 and continue through the start of school.

HAC is your family’s one-stop resource for important student information. Log in beginning August 17 to review your child’s information and complete all required forms before school begins!

Hello, families! My name is Alicia Vessels, and I am excited to be joining your school community! I have been an educator in Pittsburgh Public Schools for the past 13 years, and I am looking forward to beginning this new chapter with all of you. This community is especially meaningful to me because I not only live here, but I also attended Brookline Elementary myself, and my own children attended Brookline as well. Being able to teach in a community that I have been a part of for so many years makes this opportunity truly special. I believe that strong relationships between teachers, students, and families are the foundation for a successful school year. I look forward to getting to know your children, supporting their growth, and making this a wonderful year together!
