Today, we introduce you to Rev. Peter Chace, who serves as an Assistant Pastor and Bible teacher here at BHCA.

Peter shared a fun and little-known fact about himself: He once lived in the Grand Canyon for 3 months!

A meaningful scripture verse for Peter is Psalm 34:8-10: “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”

Celebrating our second Symposium Debate!
Our students did an outstanding job researching, reasoning, and respectfully "debating the question"—citing biblical, historical, and current examples. It’s a joy to watch them grow in wisdom, confidence, and faith as they learn to think critically and speak boldly!

We hope to see you there!

Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Karen Kress, our 5th–8th grade Math and English teacher here at BHCA.
When she’s not in the classroom, Karen loves staying active and exploring the world. An avid volleyball player, she also has a passion for travel. “One of my favorite countries I’ve visited is Thailand,” she shares.
A verse that continues to hold deep meaning in Karen’s life is her confirmation verse, Isaiah 53:5,
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
She reflects, “It might seem like a harsh verse at first, but the perspective it gives on the incredible love Christ has for us—and the sacrifice He made—is truly life-changing.”

Happy Memorial Day!

This week we’re excited to introduce you to Christi Ivy — one of our wonderful 3-year-old preschool teachers at Beverly Heights!

Christi just finished her third year teaching in our 3s and Kindergarten Enrichment programs. Her family has been part of our preschool and academy community for 7 years — ever since her daughter was in the 3s program!

A little bit about Christi:
She is a nurse and spent 9 years as a labor and delivery nurse before stepping into this season of shaping young hearts and minds as a preschool teacher. She says she’s incredibly thankful for this opportunity to pour into our little ones every day.

Christi has been married to her husband Rob (a pastor at a neighboring church) for almost 19 years. Together they have 4 children who all attend Beverly Heights Christian Academy.

In her free time, she loves being outdoors and watching sports — especially college basketball! She’s been a proud Kansas Jayhawk fan since she was 8 years old.

Christi grew up moving around the world as part of a military family, and her life verse has always been Deuteronomy 31:8:
“The Lord Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never fail you or forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.”

We are so grateful to have Christi as part of our Beverly Heights family!

As our preschool year comes to a close, we are so thankful for all the ways our littlest neighbors have grown this year — heads, hearts, and hands.

We’ve watched them learn letters and phonics, make friends, and show kindness and care to others. It’s been a full year!

We are grateful to God for every child and for His goodness throughout the year. Thank you to all the parents and loved ones who joined us last week to celebrate!

What a beautiful evening at Beverly Heights Christian Academy!

Our students did an outstanding job at our first annual Fine Arts Night. They showcased their talents through beautiful vocal and instrumental performances, original artwork, and creative displays. It was wonderful to see so many parents and family members there enjoying the exhibits and cheering them on.

A big thank you to all the students for their hard work, to our teachers for their planning, preparation, and guidance, and to everyone who came out to support this special night!
