Caring Corner Family Child Care

This week we were Down on the Farm learning about farm animals. We made muddy pigs, wooly sheep, and cute cows eating grass. We even painted a Caring Corner Barn. Elaina had a blast digging to "plant her crops".

Easter fun was all about eggs and bunnies! 🐰

Our wrap up of the space unit was out of this world, hee hee! 🚀 We made constellation pictures from the first letters of our names. We made moon pictures complete with craters. We made rocket ship blowers that really blast off. We learned about orbits and rotation with our balls in the pie pan model. Our favorite was the yummy phases (some of us called it faces 🌝) of the moon snack. 🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌟

We are really having a blast learning about space! Everyone put together their own solar system and learned the names of the planets and their order according to distance from the sun. 🪐 We even found out that the sun is actually a star! 🤯🌞⭐

We started learning about space this week, so we painted our favorite planet 🌎💖!!!

Apple day!🍎 We used our 5 senses to describe 6 kinds of apples. We played apple counting games and read "10 Apples Up on Top". For snack time we had a tasting party and took a survey of our least and most favorite kinds of apples. Granny Smith won least favorite and Golden delicious and Honey Crisp tied for most favorite!
