Still soaking in what an incredible night last night was.

Being named to the Pittsburgh Business Times 30 Under 30 list is truly an honor, and I’m so grateful to be included among such inspiring and driven people in our city.

What started as a passion for supporting families in those overwhelming early days of newborn life has grown into something I never could have imagined. Through Simply Sleep, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside so many parents—bringing them rest, confidence, and a little more peace in a season that can feel anything but. From starting this business for myself in 2022, to growing it to a team of 20+ staff in 2026, I am beyond grateful for this journey and opportunity to serve others.

This recognition isn’t just mine. It belongs to every family who has trusted us, every client who has invited us into their home, my entire team of registered nurses, and every person who has supported this journey along the way. I’m endlessly grateful.

Here’s to continuing to support new parents, grow this work with intention, and keep showing up for the families during one of the most transformative walks of life 🤍

Cluster feeding is one of the most common reasons parents think something is wrong — when in reality, it’s a completely normal part of newborn development and mother natures way of supporting your milk supply/keeping up with baby’s needs.

It can feel exhausting when your baby wants to eat constantly, especially in the evenings. But this pattern actually helps build your milk supply and supports your baby through rapid growth.

As a NICU nurse and founder of a postpartum support company, I see this all the time — and I promise, it doesn’t last forever.

You’re not doing anything wrong 🤍

If you’re in the thick of it right now, tell me — what time of day does your baby cluster feed the most?

In honor of World Sleep Week, let’s talk about something every new parent is thinking about: sleep.

Sleep isn’t just about getting through the night — it plays a huge role in your baby’s growth, brain development, and emotional regulation.

But here’s the part many parents don’t hear enough: newborn sleep is biologically different. Frequent waking, short sleep cycles, and irregular patterns are all normal in the early weeks.

Instead of focusing on “perfect sleep,” the goal in the newborn stage is to begin building healthy sleep foundations that support your baby’s development and your family’s wellbeing.

Supporting sleep means supporting the whole family. 🤍

Newborns are neurologically immature. They’re adjusting from a tight, contained womb to a wide open world.

Swaddling helps bridge that transition.

Benefits of proper swaddling:
• Reduces the Moro (startle) reflex
• Promotes longer, more restful sleep
• Prevents random arm flailing that wakes them
• Provides a sense of security and containment

But here’s the clinical piece 👇🏼
Swaddling should always be:
✔️ Snug across the chest
✔️ Loose at the hips
✔️ On the back only
✔️ Discontinued once baby shows signs of rolling

Swaddling isn’t about restricting movement long term — it’s about supporting neurologic development in those early weeks.

When done safely, it can be a powerful sleep tool.

Newborn sleep is biological, not behavioral. Support their nervous system first 💛

Where are my contact mappers at?? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Contact naps are one of the most comforting things (IMO) 🥰

They get a bit of a bad rep, but when done correctly can actually be so beneficial to your babes sleep. I contact napped (not every nap but at least 1 a day, more in the newborn stage) with my son until he was about 5 months old when his naps started consolidating.

What questions do you have about contact naps? ⁉️⁉️❔
