Join us next Tuesday, June 30th, at 12:00 PM ET for a webinar featuring our speaker, Holly J. Britt, MFA, MA, NRP, I/C. This is a practical webinar designed for EMS educators, conference presenters, and public speakers who want to improve communication access for their audiences. Many presenters avoid microphones because they dislike hearing their own amplified voices, feel uncomfortable with audio equipment, or believe their natural voices are loud enough. However, poor microphone use can create barriers for audience members with hearing loss, auditory processing challenges, or difficulty understanding speech in noisy environments. This session will explain why microphone use is an accessibility issue, introduce common microphone types, demonstrate frequent microphone mistakes, and provide practical strategies for building comfort with amplified speech.

Join us for a webinar on Wednesday, June 10th: License Ready ≠ Practice Ready Transition to Paramedic Practice: A New Capstone-Phase Course in the Paramedic Curriculum, presented by Dr. Ryan Batenhorst.

Despite strong cognitive and psychomotor preparation, many newly graduated paramedics feel unprepared for clinical leadership, professional identity formation, and the emotional realities of practice. National data continue to demonstrate early-career attrition, burnout, and role shock, highlighting a persistent gap between certification and true readiness for practice.

This webinar introduces Transition to Paramedic Practice, a newly developed capstone-phase course embedded within the team-lead portion of the paramedic curriculum. The course intentionally bridges the student-to-clinician transition by treating reflection, communication, ethics, judgment, resilience, and wellness as core clinical competencies. Through structured discussion, written reflection, case analysis, and a wellness-focused capstone presentation, students engage in guided professional identity development and workforce readiness.
