For the past few weeks, students have had the opportunity to learn how to cook healthy meals with the help of Adagio Health. 😋 Some recipes included homemade salsa, pancakes and Sesame chicken.

In coordination with non profit humanitarian organization, students enjoyed making paracord lanyards and wrote thank you cards to deployed soldiers. The turn out resulted in 17 lanyards and 33 cards! Way to go!!

Student and instructor applications for the Readiness Institute at Penn State Summer Program 2023 are now open!
The program is a six-week paid experience for rising high school seniors that helps them become community and future ready. It includes hands-on workshops to learn new skills and career pathways, community service projects, visits to local cultural sites, networking with peers and leaders, and more.

In celebration of Black History Month, Dr. Wayne N. Walters is calling on Black Men to spread the love and show Pittsburgh that Black Men Read. Taking place at 34 schools across the District, Black Men Read aims to encourage a love of reading and promote literacy for our students while also countering negative narratives related to Black men.
