The countdown is on! In just one month, martial artists from across the country will gather in Pittsburgh for the 21st Annual Pittsburgh Filipino Martial Arts Camp.

Join us July 9–12 for a weekend of training, testing, learning, and connecting with an incredible community of martial artists. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the academy for another memorable camp!

Over the past several months, we’ve seen tremendous growth in both his martial arts skills and his maturity. We’re proud of his progress and excited to see what he achieves next as he moves up into our Youth Program!

This month at Ryer Martial Arts, our Word of the Month is CONVENIENCE.

We live in a world that values speed, comfort, and convenience. But many of the things that help us grow—training, learning, exercising, and developing discipline—are often inconvenient.

Fiona is a steady worker who stays focused on her progress, and her hard work has paid off. We’re excited to see her move up into our Intermediate Youth program. Keep it up, Fiona!

Yesterday was Monzer’s and Aram’s last class at Ryer Martial Arts Academy as their family prepares to move away from Pittsburgh.

For the past five years, we’ve had the privilege of watching these boys grow in skill, confidence, and character. They’re awesome young men and we’re truly going to miss them.

We wish them and their family all the best in this next chapter. You’ll always have a home at Ryer Academy. 🥋💎

Soraya earned her Junior Yellow Belt yesterday! ⬜️🟨

We’re all proud of her and the hard work she’s been putting in. Her big smile says it all — she was excited and proud of this accomplishment. Keep up the great work, Soraya! 👏

🇺🇸 A friendly reminder that Ryer Martial Arts Academy will be closed this weekend in observation of Memorial Day.

We hope everyone takes this time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Thank you to all who have served and sacrificed for our country.
