The Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs would like to extend our deepest gratitude and thanks to everyone who made this Centennial year possible. To every staff, faculty and committee member, every student tour guide and volunteer, to each and every visitor of the Nationality and Heritage Rooms and the Cathedral of Learning, thank you for seeing us to 100 years of sharing stories of regional ethnic communities past and present, through inspirational spaces and Intercultural experiences. 🌎Throughout their 100 years, the Nationality and Heritage Rooms have served as spaces that represent the cultural diversity of Pitt and the city of Pittsburgh and have become one of the leading sources of study abroad funding for Pitt students. Since the late 1940s, funding through the Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs has supported over 1,800 Pitt students to advance in their academic careers and make a positive impact in the world.

🌏To honor this remarkable history, the Centennial Award Fund will aid Pitt scholars at the undergraduate and graduate levels as they pursue globally focused education. Through the Centennial Award Fund, students can pursue global learning opportunities such as internships, guided research abroad, or immersive language training in locations around the globe.
