How high can you jump? How strong is your grip? How stable is your balance?

During the Health Sciences Exploration Day with Crossroads Foundation and Abiding Missions, our HS program faculty hosted a combine, giving students the opportunity to test key components of health and physical fitness through hands-on assessments and real-world performance measures.

From vertical jump testing to grip strength and balance challenges, students got a firsthand look at the tools and techniques used to evaluate human performance.

Our Health Sciences faculty were in attendance for this year’s American College of Sports Medicine annual meeting in Salt Lake City, UT, to learn about all things sports medicine.

Duquesne University was recognized as a Gold Campus through the ACSM's Exercise is Medicine On Campus Program during the meeting.

To top it off, Duquesne University Athletic Training alum Rebecca Stearns was named as a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.

It was another great national American College of Sports Medicine meeting!!
