We had a wonderful time this morning celebrating our retired faculty and staff over breakfast! We also enjoyed a tour of the new Kelce College of Business downtown.

A special thank you to Dr. Paul Grimes and Dr. Lynn Murray for leading our tours and sharing an inside look at this exciting new addition to our campus! And, of course, thank you to all of our retired faculty and staff for your years of dedication and service to Pitt State. It’s always wonderful to have you back! ❤️💛🦍

🎨 Meet Annabella Beachner! She is the talented designer behind this year’s official Paint The Town Red T-shirt!

A 2026 Pittsburg State University graduate in PSU Graphic Communications and now a Graphic Designer at Jakes Fireworks, Annabella created this year's design around the theme "Gus Through the Decades."🦍

When Annabella saw this year’s theme, she was so excited because it was right up her alley! As a vintage enthusiast and self-proclaimed old soul, she had so much fun bringing the theme to life. Her design takes Gus through four different eras, giving him a completely different look for each one, from classic vintage fashion and slicked-back hair to shaggy retro styles and a more modern-day Gus.

She even chose different fonts and typography styles to capture the feel of different eras, creating a design that is nostalgic, fun and full of personality. So much thought, creativity and talent went into every detail of this shirt! ❤️💛

While wearing her Gorilla gear during a mission trip to Buipe, Ghana last June, Nicole Jones met Sahadu, a local member of the ministry team, wearing a K-State Wildcat shirt left behind by the intern from the year before. She couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a photo to show off their Kansas school spirit!
