Highlands 5th graders showcased their hard work and creativity through their state reports and state floats. Students researched various states, learning about their history, geography, landmarks, and culture, then brought their learning to life with detailed float displays and food samples. The project provided an engaging opportunity for students to share their knowledge while demonstrating strong research, presentation, and artistic skills. Great job to all of our 5th graders for their impressive work!

The Pittsburg Unified School District Board of Education is proud to announce Ms. Sonjhia Lowery as the new Superintendent of Schools.

Ms. Sonjhia Lowery is an accomplished educational leader with more than 31 years of experience serving students, families, and school communities. The Board took formal action on Ms. Lowery's appointment at their June 10 regular meeting.
