Founded at Massachusetts Agricultural College in Amherst, now the University of Massachusetts on March 15, 1873 to form a “society to promote morality, learning and social culture.” In 1985, Phi Sigma Kappa merged with Phi Sigma Epsilon to form the largest merger in the fraternal world. Phi Sigma Kappa started at Pittsburg State University as Pi Sigma Epsilon then merged with Phi Sigma Epsilon, which later merged with Phi Sigma Kappa in 1986.
