This is what passes as "good news" politically these days. And of course, it IS good news. But the fact that that it wasn't obvious all along, that it had to go to the Supreme Court in the first place, is still rather depressing. Nevertheless, it was a 6 to 3 ruling, so that makes me happy.
Supreme Court says gay, transgender workers are protected by federal law forbidding discrimination on the basis of s*x
The ruling said Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination “because of s*x,” includes LGBTQ employees.
