Today we join the Pitt State community in recognizing Juneteenth- a day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration. We honor the stories, history, and resilience that continue to shape our communities and inspire future generations.

As graphic communicators, we also appreciate the role design plays in storytelling. The colors featured in this artwork: Moroccan Red ( ), Gold ( ), Deep Green ( #216330), and Charcoal Black ( #242424) work together to create a bold visual identity.

Red represents resilience and sacrifice, gold symbolizes hope and opportunity, green reflects growth and prosperity, and black serves as a grounding element that adds strength and contrast.

Through color, typography, and design, visual communication helps preserve history and share meaningful stories across generations.
