Last Thursday, Pittsburg Adult Education and Career Center hosted our Spring Career Fair and what an incredible turnout!

We were excited to welcome so many amazing employers and provide our students and community members with valuable opportunities to connect, network, and explore career pathways.

Our ESL students in Room 26, under the guidance of Teacher Jean MacDonald, had a wonderful time learning about Chinese New Year! They explored traditions, symbols, and stories behind the celebrations, making connections across cultures while practicing their English skills. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made this lesson extra special!

🎉 Grand Opening of Our New Testing Center! 🎉

Today we celebrated the grand opening of our expanded Testing Center! Our former Room 1 Testing Center has officially moved to Room 4, and we are excited to share that we can now accommodate up to 46 students testing at one time.

This larger space will help us better serve our Adult Education community and provide a comfortable, supportive environment for all of our test-takers.

On Friday, Room 26 was filled with delicious food, laughter, and cultural exchange as our ESL High Beginning class hosted a Thanksgiving potluck! 🦃✨ Students shared dishes from their own cultures and took time to learn about Thanksgiving traditions in the U.S. It was a beautiful celebration of diversity and gratitude. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event so special!

🎉✨ **Giving Back This Thanksgiving!** 🦃🍂

Today, the PAEC team came together to make a difference in our community. We proudly distributed Thanksgiving meals to 17 families in need! This included **15 complete meals** and **2 turkeys**, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a warm, festive holiday.

This incredible effort was made possible thanks to the generosity of our amazing staff, contributions from our recycling program, and a heartfelt THANK YOU to **Pearl's Pantry** for donating the majority of the food. 💕

We are so grateful for the chance to spread joy and support our families. This Thanksgiving, let's remember the power of community and giving. Happy Thanksgiving to all! 🦃🌟

🌟 Last Friday, Jean MacDonald an ESL teacher and Marisa Moss the Principal’s secretary took 40 students from Pittsburg Adult Education Center to the SF Zoo! 🦁🦒🐧

All the students are part of our ESL program, and they had an amazing time learning about so many different animals like giraffes, zebras, lions, koalas, anteaters, bears, penguins, lemurs, and more! 🐻🦓🐨

It was such a fun and educational day for everyone. We're so proud of our students for embracing this opportunity to learn and explore! 🌍
