Merl Craft

Estimators are the financial strategists who shape California’s biggest builds. Before a project begins, they calculate the time, money, materials, and labor needed to bring a design off the page and into the real world. They turn plans into real numbers, creating the roadmap every project depends on.

Estimators work with architects, engineers, and contractors to track costs, adjust budgets, and keep construction moving efficiently. When a project stays on schedule and avoids overruns, an estimator helped make it happen.

💰 Average Wage (CA) Junior: $30/hr+ Senior: $53/hr+

🎓 What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience + Strong analytical skills and comfort with construction software and financial data
