SUMMER FUN RAFFLE!

We have 30 students representing our chapter at State FFA Convention in just two short weeks! Help support their trip by purchasing raffle tickets. Tickets are $10 each or 3/$20. Total prize is valued at $735.

Take your pick of FIVE DOLLAR foliage baskets this week! We have a fair variety of Wandering Jew Swedish Ivy. Only plants on our outdoor basket display (pictured below) are available for $5. Venmo preferred. Message us if you’d like to pay cash. Pick up anytime!

It's bottle baby time for our Animal Science students!

Animal Science students at Northwood are raising newborn goats and lambs this semester & we need your help! It costs about $250 to raise one livestock project from birth to weaning. We're seeking local businesses and individuals who are willing to sponsor our students bottle projects.

Your support funds hands on agricultural education and real world livestock experience.

We have a small number of mums left that we’d love to move this week! Discounted to $15. They’re HUGE and happy! Give them a little water and they’ll flower for weeks. As an added perk, mums are a perennial and will come back next year!

🥇 Milk Quality & Products – 1st of 76 with Sarah Anne M. being the high scoring individual in the contest

🥇 Food Science & Tech – 1st of 93 with Theo N. being the high scoring individual in the contest

🥈 Nursery Landscape – 2nd of 22 (Regional qualifier)

🌸 Floriculture – 4th of 30 (Regional qualifier)

🥩 Meat Evaluation – 6th of 50

🌱 Intro to Horticulture – 8th of 30 (Regional qualifier)

🔬 Agriscience Fair: 2nd in Animal Systems, Division 4

🎓 4 students earned their Old North State Degree & 2 served as Delegates

🥈 Chapter recognized as a Silver Level National Chapter Award recipient

🏅 Jr. Farm Business Management and Jr. Dairy Evaluation were recognized with plaques for their earlier 1st and 3rd place finishes, respectively.

These students have worked hard all summer & we’re so proud! 🙌 Next stop: National Convention! 🇺🇸

It’s raffle time! We have 28 students heading to Raleigh next week to represent our FFA chapter at State FFA Convention. Help us get those kiddos there by supporting this fundraiser. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25.

Prize includes: GCI rocker chair, Blackstone Griddle, Ryobi fan + battery kit, Igloo Cooler + thermos, waterproof Bluetooth speaker, sturdy/noncollapsible waterproof tote, bug spray bundle, & snacks!

Our greenhouse will be open to the public tomorrow from 9am to 12pm. Please shop with us and help us clear this greenhouse out! Our plants are student grown and cared for. 100% of the profit from our plant sale goes right back into our program, supporting hands on activities in the classroom and career and leadership development for our students! 🌺🍃
