We’ve come too far to lose ground now.

We’ve made incredible progress in the fight against HIV, but that progress depends on people being able to get the care they need.

Across the South, Latine communities already face gaps in HIV prevention and care. As immigrant communities navigate increased fear of immigration enforcement and millions more people face losing health coverage, protecting access to care is more important than ever.

This Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we’re honoring how far we’ve come and standing together to protect that progress.

Hemos avanzado demasiado para retroceder ahora.
Hemos logrado avances increíbles en la lucha contra el VIH, pero ese progreso depende de que las personas puedan recibir la atención que necesitan.

En el Sur, las comunidades latinas ya enfrentan brechas en la prevención y atención del VIH. Ante el aumento del temor por las acciones de las autoridades migratorias y la posibilidad de que millones de personas pierdan su cobertura médica, proteger el acceso a la atención es más importante que nunca.

For 61 years, Medicaid has helped millions access the care they need. Today, it's a cornerstone of HIV prevention and care—providing access to PrEP, HIV treatment, and the care people need to live long, healthy lives. However, proposed work reporting requirements will create unnecessary barriers that will cause eligible people to lose their coverage.

Durante 61 años, Medicaid ha ayudado a millones de personas a acceder a la atención médica que necesitan.
