George Moses Horton Middle School Bands

Congratulations to our 8th grade band on their performance at MPA this past Thursday at Cedar Ridge High School! They received a rating of Excellent on their overall performance, and a Superior in sight reading, the best score you can receive!

We received beneficial feedback from the panel of judges at the event, and are ready to keep pushing towards our final performance at Carowinds on April 10th.

Our 8th grade band put on a wonderful performance this past Wednesday at the East Chatham MPA Preview. We received lots of helpful feedback from the panel of judges, and these students are ready to keep on pushing and improving!

Our MPA performance will take place at Cedar Ridge High School on Thursday 3/19, at 10:30 am.

Another great pep band season in the books! We had a blast cheering on our UNDEFEATED boys' and girls' teams!

This year, we had the opportunity to recognize our awesome 8th grade pep band members at 8th grade night, and end the season with a pizza party. Thanks everyone for your support!

Huge congratulations to 3 of our GMH band 8th graders for making the NC Central District Honors Band! These students will travel to Durham School of the Arts on January 23 and 24 to rehearse and perform with students from 13 counties across central NC. Their concert will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 24th in the DSA Auditorium.

What a great night it was!

Come out to our annual winter band concert this evening at 6 and support our wonderful band students! This performance will take place in the Northwood High School auditorium.

Congratulations to our GMH band members who participated in the Chatham All-County band this past Wednesday and Thursday. These students were selected through an audition to prepare a honors-level concert over 2 days, and then performed for a packed auditorium at Seaforth High School.

Thank you to Ms. Cristina Rekeibe for teaching our students, and to Mr. Clay Perry and Seaforth for hosting the event!

Our 8th graders had a great time at NHS Band's 8th grade night back on September 5th! Students got the chance to perform with the NHS Marching Band throughout the football game, watch their halftime show, and support the Chargers.

So great to have 2 of our GMH band 8th graders recognized by Chatham County Schools! CCS is a great place for the arts!
