We're celebrating , and there's no better moment to mark a milestone about IEEE Milestones:

The IEEE History Center dedicated its 300th IEEE Milestone — celebrating the achievements that shaped our world!

Milestone #300 goes to Canadarm, the first robotic system ever deployed in space. Dedicated 19 June 2026 in Toronto, it honors the 1981 debut of the Shuttle Remote Manipulator System — built by SPAR Aerospace, now MDA Space — which went on to become an icon of space robotics.
