I’m doing it all over again!

Apple just announced new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air laptop computers with M4 chips. These look very impressive on paper, especially when the price is considered:

MIND BLOWN!

Last night I experienced something quite amazing. Automated simultaneous translation of an art technique by Mee Chee Soo from Mandarin Chinese to English.

It wasn’t perfect, but I was able to follow along and understand the vast majority of what she had to say, which was truly amazing to me.

And you can experience it as well!

A few months ago I joined a fantastic online course platform called The Great Discovery. It's different from most course platforms in a few ways (here are just two):

1. You can upload a course, which can be just text, an e-book, an audio presentation and/or video (or a combination of all of these), and pay just a one time fee instead of a monthly or annual fee, which is quite different from many other course platforms that can cost hundreds of dollars a month.

2. You can share your content in one of over one hundred languages, and those who want to take the course can listen and watch you in their language. And there is a way to have the content presented as though you are speaking in other languages.

The Great Discovery is running a free 48 hr event starting at 1PM ET today, Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, and they are doing something amazing. They are using a technology that allows people to hear their own language when someone is speaking a different language. And this is not just for the presentations, it's also for the breakout rooms, which are rooms that usually have about 2-10 people. I can't wait to try this out!

My family and I have been enjoying watching the ###III Olympic Summer Games, which are happening in Paris. Some of the highlights for us have been men's basketball and women's gymnastics.
