🎉 What an incredible two days in Budapest!🎉

The 2026 IEEE Tech Summit: Ethical AI brought together global leaders, researchers, innovators, industry experts, and practitioners for meaningful conversations about one of the defining challengesof our time: How do we harness the transformative power of AI while ensuring it
is developed and deployed responsibly?

Across two days of keynote presentations, thought-provoking panels, interactive breakout sessions, and networking, participants moved the conversation from principles to practice—exploring how AI can be designed, governed, and implemented in ways that prioritize transparency, fairness, accountability, safety, and societal benefit.

A special thank you to the IEEE leaders whose support, active participation, and unwavering commitment were instrumental in making this event a success: 2025 IEEE Past President Kathleen Kramer; 2026 IEEE President and CEO Mary Ellen Randall; and 2026 IEEE President-Elect Jill Gostin. And a heartfelt thank you to Tech Summit Chair, Dalma Novak, for her exceptional leadership, vision, and commitment in bringing the Tech Summit from an idea to a successful global gathering in Budapest!

And thank you to all of the members of the Tech Summit Organizing Committees for the tremendous work, effort and dedication that helped make this event such a memorable and impactful experience:

Tech Summit Steering Committee: Dalma Novak, Mojdeh Bahar, Jennifer Charnecky, Cynthia (Cindy) Nell, PMP®, Crystel Edwards, CMP, Charlie Jackson, Ryan O'Connor.
Program Committee: Nina Shamsi, S.P.D. Anuraj, Georgio S., Daswin de Silva, Professor Eleni Mangina, Pal Varga, Murty Polavarapu, Mariela Machado Fantacchiotti, Dr. Clara Neppel, Chris Miyachi, Arnold Pears, Milos Manic.

The Global Founders Showcase and Awards Committee: Mohamed El Dallal, Polat Goktas, Ph.D., Susana Lau Hou, Mohammad Zidan and Caitlin E. Zubrowski.

And a very tremendous thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 IEEE Tech Summit: Ethical AI possible—our distinguished Speakers, Moderators, Tech Summit Organizing Committee members, Sponsors, Partners, volunteers, attendees, and everyone behind the scenes who contributed to its success.

The Summit may have ended, but the conversation—and the work—continues. Together, we can help shape an AI future that is not only more intelligent, but more responsible, equitable, trustworthy, and human-centered. ✨🌍

🎉 What a successful inaugural 2026 IEEE Societies and Councils Congress!

Held August 24–25 in Glasgow, Scotland, the Congress brought together senior volunteer leaders and staff from across IEEE Societies, Councils, and Technical Activities for two impactful days of connection, collaboration, learning, and idea sharing.

Through interactive sessions, case studies, roundtables, and networking opportunities, attendees exchanged best practices, explored shared challenges, and identified new opportunities to strengthen our technical communities and create greater impact across IEEE.

More than a meeting, the Congress created a space for leaders to connect across organizational boundaries, learn from one another, build relationships, and turn conversations into opportunities for future collaboration.

A special thank you to the IEEE leaders whose support, participation, and commitment helped make this inaugural event a success: 2025 IEEE Past President Kathleen Kramer; 2026 IEEE President and CEO Mary Ellen Randall; 2026 IEEE President-Elect Jill Gostin; IEEE Executive Director and COO Sophia Muirhead; 2026 IEEE Vice President & Technical Activities Board Chair Don Tan; 2026 IEEE TAB Vice President-Elect Aylin Yener; and IEEE Societies and Councils Congress Chair Dalma Novak.

And a tremendous thank you to all of our volunteers, speakers, organizers, staff, and attendees who brought their ideas, expertise, and energy to Glasgow and helped make the inaugural S/C Congress such a meaningful experience!

We came together with different perspectives and experiences, but with a shared commitment to strengthening IEEE’s technical communities and shaping what comes next.

The conversations started in Glasgow don’t end in Glasgow. Let’s keep the connections, collaboration, and momentum going! 🚀 ✨
